I Caught the Blues

I caught the Blues. When you have the blues

Your world crushes you.

You wonder when you'll get up

It all seems too difficult

Just breathing is what I can do.

How did I not see that "train‐wreck" coming?

Everybody else surely did

Guess I got cross-eyed when I laid eyes on you

You sent these blues that taunt me

But, slowly I rise and turn the music on

I begin to dance and sway to the beat

Sweet soul rhythms will hold me tight tonight

Distract me from yesterdays I need to forget

Please restore me and cure my Blues
